捷克一列客運火車周三晚與一列貨運火車相撞，至少造成4人死亡、20多人受傷。其中貨運火車載滿電石（碳化鈣，calcium carbide），這是一種易燃化學物，所幸前兩節車廂是空的，因此沒有造成更大的危害。
綜合外電報導，捷克內政部長拉庫尚（Vit Rakusan）說，事故發生在首都布拉格以東約100公里的巴多比契（Pardubice）火車總站附近，該事故造成約20人受輕傷，另有3人重傷。
報導還說，這列特快車搭載300多名乘客，包括許多外國人。這列火車由民營公司Regiojet營運，原本正前往緊鄰斯洛伐克邊境的烏克蘭西部城鎮喬普（Chop）。

消防隊發言人告訴捷克電視台，當時貨運列車正在運送電石，而電石遇水易燃，不過頭2節車廂並未載貨，因此沒有外泄的危險。
