"Don't save what's left after you spend. Spend what's left after you save."-Warren Buffett

"Diversification is the only free lunch in investing."—Harry Markowitz

"Far more money has been lost by investors preparing for corrections, or trying to anticipate corrections, than has been lost in corrections themselves."—Peter Lynch

"Don't just do something; stand there!"-Jack Bogle

"Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful."-Warren Buffett

I immediately started contributing to my401k out of college and learned to live without that money.

Pay yourself first!

If you're in the US, maximize both your401k contributions AND your Roth contributions if you're able to do so.

The best advice I got was from my dad. When I was young, he always told me about people at his work that never started their401k because they had things they wanted to do first. I'll never forget the story he told me of a guy that just needed to build a deck for his house, then he would start investing. The guy finished the deck and then it was on to another project instead of his401k.

"The best day to start investing was yesterday."

Gotta start young, I teach all my senior students to open investment accounts and teach them the power of exponential growth.

I can't do the"every dollar" method. Far too tedious, but I know what's left after fixed expenses and monthly saving and craft a life around that.

Learn a skill. Find better employment with that skill. Invest in yourself. Save every dollar you can and live well below your means to live a better life as you get older.

Learn valuable skills that you increase over time, work diligently, live within your means, don't wrack up consumer debt, and don't have children before you are married.

Best financial advice, take a free financial literacy class so you can learn how to make your money work for you at any level as well as ways to budget and save and help lift yourself out of poverty for good.

Buy less stuff. Instead, spend money on experiencing life. Live overseas(I volunteered for a short term work assignment in London in my20s). Buy a cheap airfare on the spur of the moment to a city you've never visited. Go on a weekend road trip. Take a class in something you're curious about.

量入為出;

先儲蓄,再消費;

少購物,多存錢;

存滿401K,再存IRA, roth IRA;

學習能增值的新技能;

理財要儘早,不要拖;
