德國另類選擇黨（AfD）今（30）日在黑森邦小城吉森（Giessen）舉行新青年組織「德國世代」（Generation Deutschland）成立大會，極左團體Antifa大規模全國動員前往抗議、堵路阻撓。警方估計，至少5萬名示威者湧入人口僅9萬的吉森，市區交通幾乎被癱瘓。
AfD前青年組織「德國青年另類選擇」（Junge Alternative, JA）於2023年遭德國聯邦憲法保護局認定為極右翼團體，今年初宣布解散。黨內隨後拍板成立替代組織「德國世代」，並選定吉森舉辦成立大會。
2/ Opening of the party congress postponed
The AfD intends to establish a successor organization to the Young Alternative (JA) in Gießen, under the name 「Generation Germany」 (GD). AfD members, including the party leaders Tino Chrupalla and Alice Weidel, who planned to travel by car, were unable to arrive at the event on time.
The hall, which was intended for around 1,000 guests, was only a quarter full. It remained unclear when the meeting would begin.
